YouTube Fest
I just had the most fun watching two shows in youtube.
Andrew Zimmern’s Bizarre Foods
This food-adventurous white guy comes to the PI to have a taste of the most “exotic” food our country offers. Sneak peak below, where he eats “buhloot” in the “bahloo-tan”. See how he finds the sabaw -- personally that’s my favorite, being it’s so tasty and it’s the only thing I can eat in the balut aside from the egg-yolkish part.
Hanapin nyo na lang sa youtube yung parts 2-6.
Interesting stuff. In the other videos, he goes to “Keeyapow Church” and tries the street food, visits “Ang-gonow” Rizal and other parts of our country and chows down on stuffed frogs and live worms from a tree at sinawsaw sa calamansi. GRABE. I realized our culinary culture is a lot more colorful than I knew it to be.
Kahit na di ko makakain kalahati sa mga tinikman niya, I am so darn proud of “The Philippines: one heck of an adventure, one great food country.”
Extra Challenge with Jasmin Trias, Donita Rose and Ruffa Gutierrez
Halos hikain ako dito kaya tinapos ko lahat ng walong 3-part episodes sa youtube. Comedy talaga ang kaartehan ni Ruffa. Donita was so much fun to watch, so was Jasmin’s attempt at Tagalog-speaking, pero unbeatable ang English ni Ethel Booba who was trying to translate for Jasmin. HAHAHA!
These are my favorites (WARNING sa eardrums – matindi ang tili ng mga babaeng ito):
Enjoy!
